ABOUT ME
Daïna Mateu is a specialist in Early Flutes born in Barcelona, Spain. She has studied with some of the most respected performers in the world, such as Marc Hantaï, Bartold Kuijken and Kate Clark, among others, gaining valuable insights into the technical and stylistic aspects of playing the flute.
Daïna acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience through her studies in the most renown european institutions and music colleges; holding, Bachelor Degree in “Musicology with double
mention in Historical Musicology and Music Management” by Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB). Bachelor Degree in
Early Music Interpretation by Escola Superior de Musica de Catalunya (ESMUC) and she’s curentyly finishing the “European master of Early Music Interpretation” in both Koninklijk Conservatorium of Den Haag (NL) and Janáčkova Akademie Múzických Umění of Brno (CZ).
Daïna has played in various ensembles and baroque orquestas, such as Acadèmia 1750 or Saüc Ensemble, performing international concerts in countries such as U.S.A, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, France, The Netherlands, Spain and The Czech Republic.
